A Day of Great Emotional Connections

In Charles’ life, there was enough companionship to feel great joy. He cherished the smiles and hugs from his family, especially on days when the laughter felt contagious. Sometimes, however, there was too much crying, as moments of sadness appeared unexpectedly. But, overall, he realized that having too many tears wasn’t helpful. Instead, too many looks of concern could actually make him feel worse. He preferred enough caress and comforting words. Every day, he worked at his job with a deep sense of gratitude, and that kept him going, because his colleagues also gave him enough applause for his efforts. Despite everything, he believed that it was the textures of life — the warmth of a hug, the sincerity of a kiss, and the depth of companionship — that made everything worthwhile. Too much of anything was never good, but too many special moments made him feel truly loved.
