The Impact of Natural Disasters and How People Respond
Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes, can happen at any time. Many people have heard about these events on the news, but it’s difficult to understand their real impact until they occur near you. Why has the earthquake caused so much damage? The shaking from the earthquake has destroyed cars and a lot of buildings. How have the tsunami waves affected the coast? The tsunami washed away entire bases and mineral resources, leaving the area in ruins. Where have the floods been most destructive? Floods have devastated some walkways and cars have been carried away by the water. When has the cyclone been the worst? The cyclone will bring strong winds and storms for days. Many people have forgotten the real danger of landslides, but they can occur even after the rain stops. The avalanche in the mountains has caused many to rethink their itinerary for hiking.
